1. Introduction

    This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes the information that we gather and can store through the HOI App, HOI website and/or the HOI App Services, how we use it and the steps that we take to protect it. By downloading, accessing and/or using the HOI App and HOI website you confirm that you have read, understood and consent to be bound by the terms of our Policy. This Policy is incorporated into, and is subject to the Terms. Capitalised terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

  2. Collection of Personal Information

    We can receive and store any information that you submit in the HOI App or give us in any other way. This includes information that can identify you, (“Personal Information”) such as your name, gender, email address, mobile number and in some cases, billing information. If you choose not to provide your Personal Information as requested by us, we may not be able to provide you access to certain parts of the HOI App and/or HOI App Services. We may collect or process your Personal Information depending upon how you interact with the HOI App and/or HOI App Services.

    When you sign-up/register for the HOI App, we will collect Personal Information including but not limited to:

    • Name;
    • Mobile number;
    • Email, third party social networking account information (gmail, linkedin, facebook, twitter, google +, apple, outlook, Instagram, others);
    • Date of birth;
    • Gender.

    When you use any separate functionality provided in the HOI App, we may collect the transaction related Personal Information including but not limited to:

    • Flight Tracking: Flight number, PNR, date of flight, scan of boarding pass (camera), origin and destination of flights and airports, SMS (for SMS paring), email (for email parsing), and calendar details;
    • Cab Rentals: Location and passenger details (name, mobile number, email and gender);
    • Web Check – In: PNR, last name;
    • Intuitive Trip Planner (for real time traffic and airport congestion alerts): flight date, timing and location;
    • Travel Buddy: Contact details;
    • Wi – fi: Encrypted Mac – id (Android Devices) and IP address (Android);
    • Indoor Maps: Location, permission to access bluetooth;
    • Pre-order: Boarding pass and passport details (at duty free only);
    • Transactions: Wallet IDs, passwords, Credit Card details, payment gateway information
    • Digitoken: Facial biometric and finger print; and
    • Cookies and sessions data: we may use "cookies", or similar technologies to record log data. When we use cookies, we may use "session" cookies (that last until you close your browser).

  3. Usage of your Personal Information

    If you provide us with your Personal Information in the course of signing in, registering or using any HOI App Services, then we use your Personal Information in order to provide you with that particular service, or directly related to provision of such a service. This includes any or more of the following purposes:

    • providing services and information offered through the HOI App and which you request;
    • administering your user account with us;
    • analysing use of the HOI App in order to improve our content and services;
    • collecting your real time location to provide the location based services requested by you in order to identify for you the HOI App Services relevant to your location. If you wish to stop location information collection, we will not be able to continue to provide the services and you should uninstall the HOI App from your mobile device;
    • sending you push notifications of relevant offers at your location should you choose to receive these;
    • if you have consented to receiving emails from us and our partners during your registration, we will send you information and offers we think you may find of interest based on your use of the HOI App and/or HOI App Services, or which you have requested from us;
    • allowing, with your explicit consent, carefully selected third parties to send you information and offers by email, which you may find useful regarding their products and services.

    You can tell us not to contact you with information regarding HOI App Services, or those of third parties anymore, or to share your details with third parties. You can do this by following the unsubscribe instruction on any communications sent to you. You can also exercise this right at any time by using the contacting us details at the end of this privacy policy.

  4. Sharing of your Personal Information

    In certain circumstances, in order to provide the HOI App Services, we may disclose certain information that we collect from you:

    • with third party vendors who provide services or functions on our behalf. Third party vendors have access to and may collect information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the information for any other purpose.
    • with law enforcement and governmental entities when required by law, including disclosures required per the applicable regulations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India for authentication in order to access and use the airport’s Wi-Fi. We may disclose personal information or other information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, in response to a facially valid court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies; and
    • to an acquirer, successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets and only if the recipient of your personal information commits to a privacy policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Policy
    • to retailers, concessionaires and service providers listed in the HOI App for the purposes of HOI App Services

    When we disclose your personal information to third parties, we take reasonable measures to ensure that the rules set forth in this Policy are complied with and these third parties provide sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organisational

    We may finally make certain automatically-collected, aggregated, or otherwise non-personally-identifiable information available to third parties for various purposes, including (i) compliance with various reporting obligations; (ii) for business or marketing purposes; or (iii) to assist such parties in understanding your interests, habits, and usage patterns for certain programs, content, services, and/or functionality available through the HOI App Services.

  5. Protection of your Personal Information

    We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect Personal Information against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the personal information in our possession. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised personnel have access to Personal Information. Whilst we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of Personal Information will never occur, we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.

    However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information, including your Personal Information that you transmit to us or store on or via the HOI App, and you do so at your own risk.

  6. Destruction of Personal Information

    We respect your rights to access, correct and destroy your Personal Information. You may also, at any time, log into your account to access and update the information you have provided to us.

    You may at any time:

    • request access to or correction of your Personal Information;
    • make any inquiries, requests or complaints in relation to the use of your Personal Information; or
    • withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Information

  7. Retention Policy

    We have no obligation to retain your Personal Information when the purposes for which we have collected your Personal Data has ceased and/or when we are no longer required to continue retaining your Personal Information for any legal or business purposes. We shall keep your Personal Information in order to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

  8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to change the Policy at our discretion. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this Policy.
